Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Minimo, a platform that provides tools for minifying and compressing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files through a web-based interface, API, and CLI tool. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Minimo and constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Minimo regarding access to and use of our services.

Last Updated: 21 March 2025

By using Minimo, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease using our services. Minimo reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time, and continued use of the service after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

1. Eligibility and Account Registration

Minimo is available to individuals and businesses who are legally capable of entering into binding contracts under applicable laws. By using Minimo, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or 16 in jurisdictions with stricter regulations) and that you have the authority to use the service. If you are using Minimo on behalf of a company, you affirm that you have the necessary authorization to bind the company to these Terms.

To access certain features of Minimo, such as API usage, users may be required to create an account. You must provide accurate and up-to-date information during the registration process and ensure that your account credentials remain secure. Minimo is not responsible for any unauthorized access resulting from compromised credentials, and you agree to notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized activity on your account.

2. Use of the Service

Minimo provides a platform for users to upload, minify, and compress files through an automated process. The service is designed for legitimate and lawful use only. You agree that you will not use Minimo for any illegal, malicious, or abusive activities.

We operate under a strict privacy policy regarding uploaded files. All uploaded files are automatically processed and deleted immediately after processing. Processed files remain available for download for one hour before they are permanently removed. Neither Minimo nor its employees have access to user-uploaded files at any point. We do not view, store, or share uploaded content beyond what is necessary for automated processing.

Minimo prohibits the use of its service for purposes that include but are not limited to distributing malware, hacking tools, copyrighted material without authorization, or any other content that violates laws or third-party rights. Any violation may result in suspension or termination of access without prior notice.

3. API and CLI Tool Usage

Minimo offers an API and CLI tool to provide an efficient way for developers and businesses to integrate minification and compression features into their workflows. Users of the API must comply with all rate limits and usage restrictions specified in our documentation. Any attempt to abuse or overload the API, circumvent security measures, or exploit vulnerabilities will lead to immediate termination of access.

The API and CLI tool are provided "as is" without guarantees of uninterrupted service or error-free performance. While we strive to ensure reliability, Minimo is not responsible for any disruptions, errors, or losses resulting from API or CLI tool usage.

4. Payment, Subscriptions, and Refunds

Minimo offers both free and paid subscription plans. Free-tier users are subject to usage limitations, while paid users receive increased processing limits. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis, and payments are securely processed via Stripe.

By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to automatic renewal unless you cancel before the next billing cycle. Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period, and no refunds are provided for partial use of a billing cycle. Users experiencing issues with billing should contact us for resolution, but refunds are only granted in cases of billing errors or service malfunctions directly attributable to Minimo.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

User privacy is a core principle at Minimo. We do not sell, trade, or share personal data with third parties except where required to provide the service, such as processing payments through Stripe or hosting services that support website functionality. All third-party providers we work with are GDPR and CCPA compliant and follow strict data protection guidelines.

Uploaded files are never accessed, analyzed, or shared. All processing is performed automatically, and once a file is processed, it is deleted immediately unless retained temporarily for the one-hour download window, after which it is permanently removed from our servers.

Personal data collected during account registration, such as email addresses and API keys, is stored securely and used only for authentication, communication, and service improvement. Users can request deletion of their accounts at any time, at which point all associated data, including API keys and subscription details, will be permanently removed.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

Minimo retains all ownership and intellectual property rights over its software, branding, and underlying technology. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the service in accordance with these Terms.

Users retain full ownership of any content they upload for processing, and Minimo makes no claims over user-generated files. However, by using the service, users grant Minimo the right to process and temporarily store their files solely for the purpose of providing the service.

Unauthorized reproduction, modification, or distribution of Minimo’s intellectual property without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Minimo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we make efforts to ensure the service operates efficiently, we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for all user needs. We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Minimo is not responsible for data loss, service interruptions, or any damages arising from reliance on the service. Users are encouraged to maintain backups of their files before processing them through Minimo.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Minimo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service. Our total liability for any claim related to Minimo shall not exceed the amount paid by the user in the past twelve months.

We are also not responsible for failures or losses due to third-party service providers, including payment processors, hosting services, or network providers.

9. Termination of Service

Minimo reserves the right to terminate or suspend user access at any time if these Terms are violated or if the service is misused. Users may also terminate their accounts at any time, and all associated data will be deleted permanently.

We may discontinue or modify the service at our discretion, and while we will attempt to notify users in advance, we are not obligated to maintain any particular functionality indefinitely.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through direct communication. If no resolution is reached, disputes may be settled through arbitration or in a court of law, depending on the applicable legal requirements.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically, and users will be notified of significant changes via email or through our website. Continued use of Minimo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
